Cockpit Checklist is ambitious about the workflow and deliberately precise about its boundaries.

01Is Cockpit Checklist a replacement for ForeFlight or Garmin Pilot?

No. Cockpit Checklist is focused on aircraft procedures, execution state, interruption recovery, training, and controlled content. It is designed to complement the flight-planning and navigation tools pilots already use.

02Does it work offline?

The intended system keeps downloaded procedures, active session state, matching audio assets, search, and fallback material available locally. The network is not a dependency for a ready Flight Session.

03Does it support both fixed-wing aircraft and rotorcraft?

The architecture is designed for both, but coverage advances aircraft by aircraft. Each procedure pack defines its own phases, terminology, roles, method, effectivity, and mission applicability.

04Can an organization manage checklists from the mobile app?

No. Organization and enterprise management is intentionally web-only. Mobile stays focused on personal procedure management, readiness, execution, recovery, training, and debrief.

05Can I import my own checklist?

Personal authoring and structured import are planned in Pilot Studio. Imported or machine-extracted material begins as a draft and must not be presented as approved merely because it was scanned successfully.

06What does source-traced mean?

It means the procedure is linked to an identified source, revision, and location. It does not automatically mean the source is current for your aircraft or that an authority approved your use of it; effectivity and claimant remain explicit.

07Does the app verify a switch, value, or aircraft state?

Not by itself. A tap or recognized voice response records the pilot’s declaration. It does not prove the physical aircraft state unless a separately approved integration provides a defined signal.

08Is Cockpit Checklist FAA approved?

No blanket FAA approval is claimed. Requirements and authorization depend on the operator, operation, function, installation, content, and jurisdiction. The product is designed to support a controlled process—not bypass one.

09Can it replace paper?

That decision depends on the operation, governing guidance, authorization, device assessment, current applicable content, and backup strategy. The system is being designed to support those evaluations, not declare a universal answer.

10What happens when a procedure changes during a flight?

An active Flight Session remains pinned to the release with which it began. Browser edits and newly published versions can prepare a future session, but they cannot silently replace the active procedure.

11What happens if the app or device stops?

The design includes durable local state, exact restoration, visible readiness checks, and an accessible matching fallback. Representative crash, reboot, low-storage, and device-loss scenarios are part of validation.

12How is pilot history shared with an instructor or employer?

Personal history is private by default. Sharing is intended to be explicit, permissioned, purpose-limited, and visible to the pilot, with organization access governed by role, policy, retention, and applicable law.

13When will my aircraft be supported?

Coverage will roll out in validated slices. Join early access and tell us the exact model, configuration, operation, source material, and workflow you want to help bring into the program.
